Full Time, Union
Position Purpose: Shoot and edit reporter packages, voiceovers and sound bites, set up and execute reporter live shots.
Primary Responsibilities:
§ Shoot and edit reporter packages and other material as required.
§ Operate ENG live truck(s).
§ May be required to operate teleprompter.
§ May be required to work in tape playback/ENG.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
§ At least two years experience as a news photographer & editor working in a TV newsroom.
§ Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
§ Demonstrated creativity in photography and editing.
§ Willingness to take direction from News Managers and execute station’s mission.
§ Can-do attitude, team player.
§ Skilled in non-linear editing (Final Cut Pro & Grass Valley Aurora a plus).
§ Basic use of Windows-based computer system.
§ Proficient in ENG live truck operation.
§ Ability to operate SNG trucks a plus.
§ Experience in a server-based/tapeless newsroom a plus.
§ College degree preferred.

Online Editor, Pittsburgh Magazine
The online editor develops, markets and measures Pittsburgh Magazine’s online presence. The ideal candidate will have an editorial background coupled with a love for analytics; creativity in packaging content coupled with skills in translating technology; a team-oriented approach coupled with a focus on accomplishing goals. Job Responsibilities Include:
Create and analyze dashboard based on strategic goals
Track data from online marketing and ad campaigns: content user response, web site conversions, feature usage, attrition rates
Conduct indepth analysis of site metrics in order to structure content to maximize interactivity and page view per visit
Measure interface usability
Define and implement routine reports (weekly / monthly) for site
Provide detailed monthly and quarterly results overviews to management
Maintain current web site/post weekly blogs and monthly content by print mail date
Participate and support in delivering results and presentations to clients
Provide recommendations on improvement of marketing efficiencies and effectiveness
Define target audience and user needs
Meet with advertisers and sales team to discuss metrics, inventory, results
Create an online editorial calendar for site
Stay abreast of current trends and best practices in marketing analysis and tools/techniques
Read and respond to all user posts. Manage Twitter and Facebook dialogue
Requirements:
Proficiency using site reporting/analytic tools
Strong written & verbal communication skills
Strong internal and external client service skills
Able to work in fast paced environment where flexibility is key and directions can change frequently.
Extreme attention to details and outstanding organizational skills
Self starter, highly motivated to excel w/minimal supervision
