The Media Association of Pittsburgh Board of Directors has called a Meeting of the Members on Wednesday, September 18th after our MAP Live! Luncheon.

The Board is proposing an amendment to the Bylaws that would change the Presidential term from a one year to a two year appointment.  This suggestion has been discussed for several years as a way of keeping a stronger consistency of knowledge on the board by taking advantage of a longer term.  Your Board has met and approved this move and the next step is to bring it to a membership vote.  In addition, the Board is proposing that the current President, Christy Rodibaugh, remain in the position for a second year (expiring December 2014) should the motion pass.

Of course the preference would be for all members to attend the meeting in person so that any and all questions may be addressed.  However, in an effort to reach a quorum (33% of all members) you are allowed to submit your vote via e-mail to vpcommunication@staging.mediapittsburgh.flywheelsites.com with one of the following:

  • Yes, I agree to amend the bylaws for a 2 year Presidential term
  • No, I want to keep the Presidential term as is

All votes must be received no later than noon on September 18th.

If you are not able to attend the meeting on September 18th and have questions, please feel free to contact a current board member.
